Meet the Physicians

Dr. Watts is a board-certified dermatologist, fellowship-trained in Mohs surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for high-risk skin cancers, and post-operative reconstruction. He strongly emphasizes prevention, especially for children.
Dr. Watts was educated at the University of Nebraska in undergraduate and medical school. He trained in Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic and then pursued an additional two years of fellowship training in Mohs surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Watts has been in private practice since 1996 and founded Dermatology Surgery Center in 1999, which became to Dermatology Specialists of Omaha in 2009.
Dr. Watts enjoys landscaping and working with trees in his spare time.

Dr. Griess attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for undergraduate studies and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1995. He then completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Dermatology residency at the University of Missouri. Dr. Griess was an Assistant Professor of Dermatology for three years at the University of Utah School of Medicine before completing a Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee.
Dr. Griess is board-certified in Dermatology and is a Fellow in the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for high-risk skin cancers, and post-operative reconstruction.
Dr. Griess enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.

Dr. Nelson has been practicing in Omaha since 2003. Prior to coming to Omaha she completed a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. From 1996 to 1999 she completed a pediatric residency followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended Medical School at the University of Iowa. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Dermatology with the sub-specialty board certification in Pediatric Dermatology.

Dr. Hultgren began practicing with Dermatology Specialists of Omaha in July 2010. Dr. Hultgren attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska and completed an internship in Internal Medicine there prior to her dermatology residency. Dr. Hultren completed her dermatology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where she took a special interest in cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Hultgren treats skin, hair and nail problems in patients of all ages and offers cosmetic services such as Botox, long-term injectable fillers and cosmetic laser services.
Dr. Hultgren enjoys spending time with her husband and baby son.
Dr. Hapke attended medical school at the University of Illinois and completed residency at NYU in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology with emphasis in dermatopathology. He subsequently completed a fellowship in surgical pathology in Minnessota.
Dr. Hapke has many years' experience in private practice as a pathologist, has served as an Associate Professor at both the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and Creighton University School of Medicine, and was previously the Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory at an Omaha hospital.
Dr. Hapke is responsible for examining and interpreting all of the skin biopsies obtained in Dermatology Specialists' general dermatology clinics after they have been prepared in our state-of-the-art histology lab.
Dr. Hapke enjoys traveling in his spare time.

Julie Roubal is a certified Physician Assistant experienced in both general and cosmetic dermatology. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University, majoring in both Biology and Spanish, and earned a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Julie is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants as well as both the Nebraska and American Academies of Physician Assistants. In her spare time Julie likes to read, exercise, and spend time with her family.

Kimberley Deats attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and earned a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has specialized in Dermatology since 2001 and has gained valuable experience in the treatment of skin diseases, having practiced in southern Florida and Nebraska. Kimberley is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Nebraska Dermatology Society.
Kimberley has a special interest in cosmetic enhancements including Botox, tissue fillers and cosmeceuticals. She sees all dermatology concerns and treats problems of the skin, hair, and nails in patients of all ages. Kimberley is accepting new patients.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
