Our History
Welcome to Dermatology Specialists of Omaha. We are pleased that you have chosen our practice for your dermatologic care.
David J. Watts, M.D. established Dermatology Surgery Center in May 1999 at 11623 Arbor St. in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Watts began by performing Mohs surgery in the morning and treating general dermatology patients in the afternoon. In 2005 Dr. Watts switched to performing Mohs surgery full-time.
In 2005 Anthony J. Griess, M.D. joined Dermatology Surgery Center. at a 7804 Chicago Plaza in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Griess performs Mohs surgery in the morning and treats general dermatology patients in the afternoon.
Marc R. Hapke, M.D. joined Dermatology Specialists of Omaha in May 2007. Dr. Hapke specializes in reading anatomical pathology slides and is board-certified in both pathology and dermatopathology.
In August 2007 Kyle Van De Graaff, M.D. joined our practice as a general dermatologist. He treats patients of all ages with skin, hair and nail problems.
Jill S Nelson, M.D. joined Dermatology Specialists of Omaha when the new office opened on August 24, 2009. Dr. Nelson is board-certified in pediatrics, dermatology, and pediatric dermatology and treats problems of the skin, hair, and nails in patients of all ages.
Julie A. Roubal, PA-C, M.P.A.S. began working with Dr. Watts at
Kimberley A. Deats, PA-C, M.P.A.S. joined Dr. Griess in August of 2008 and began assisting him in Mohs surgery. Kim treats patients of all ages, but is particularly interested in cosmetic dermatologic care.
Saundra Brennan, PA-C, M.P.A.S. began working with Dermatology Specialists of Omaha Aug 2009. Saundra treats patients of all ages for skin, hair and nail problems. She specializes in extensive skin exams for high risk skin cancer patients.
Mission Statement
We are dedicated to our patients, who allow us to give of ourselves daily in our workplace. Their safety, wellness, dignity and comfort are our greatest concerns. We are dedicated to preventing and treating disorders of the skin, and to treating the whole person in the process. Our goal is to form a long-term therapeutic partnership with each patient.
We are committed to teamwork. To learning about and taking care of ourselves, so we can do the same for others. To trying to set a good example, whether by demonstrating knowledge, skill, compassion, integrity, good humor, or by just doing something nice. To thinking ahead and anticipating how to help others. To treating others as we want to be treated. Our goal is to focus each day on accomplishing our work as a team.

In our attention to patient care, especially in our caring and sensitivity for each patient's physical and mental comfort.
