Jill S. Nelson, M.D.
Dr. Nelson has been practicing in Omaha since 2003. Her journey to Dermatology Specialists of Omaha, LLC began with attending Medical School at the University of Iowa. From 1996 to 2002 she completed a pediatric residency followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Prior to coming to Omaha she completed a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has sub-specialty board certification in Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr. Nelson practices general and pediatric dermatology and is accepting new patients of all ages. She has expertise in birthmarks, acne, skin cancer, rosacea, and general and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Nelson is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Nebraska Dermatologic Society (former Secretary for the executive board) and an associate member of the Iowa Dermatological Society.
In April 2011, Dr. Nelson received an appointment to the University of Nebraska Medical Center faculty as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. She has given lectures for UNMC medical students and pediatric residents and for the American Board of Pediatrics and the Childrens Hospital in Omaha.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
