1. How does it work?
Botox cosmetic (Allergan) blocks nerve impulses to the injected muscle, thus reducing the muscular contraction that causes lines to form between the brows, forehead, or crow’s feet.

2. What are the potential side effects?
The most common side effects include injection site pain, bruising, headache, brow asymmetry or drooping. Botox cosmetic has never caused respiratory depression or death when used at recommended doses to treat facial wrinkles. 3. When will I see results and how long will it last?
It varies from person to person, but within 2-4 days the effects will become apparent and will continue to improve for up to 30 days. The treatment lasts for up to 4 months.

4. Who should not receive Botox cosmetic?
Contraindications to Botox cosmetic include: pregnancy, lactation, neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis, ALS, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, infection at site of injection, known allergy to Botox or Dysport.
